The Steering Council (SC) of the People’s Health Movement (PHM) had its annual meeting from 26 to 29 April, 2022 in the midst of a critical health emergency. We feel that the emergency is not only due to the pandemic, but also because of climate change, environmental degradation, and growing armed conflicts across the globe. As a movement defending health as a social right, we urge for an international mobilization for peace; for decent and healthy food and water sustainability; and for the strengthening of both public health services and health care services with substantial public funding for the needed human capacity and infrastructure. El Consejo Directivo (CD) del Movimiento por la Salud de los Pueblos (MSP) celebró su reunión anual del 26-29 de abril de 2022 en medio de una emergencia sanitaria crítica. Consideramos que la emergencia no sólo se debe a la pandemia, sino también al cambio climático, la degradación del medio ambiente y los crecientes conflictos armados en todo el mundo. Como movimiento que defiende la salud como un derecho social, instamos a una movilización internacional por la paz; por la sostenibilidad de una alimentación y un agua decentes y saludables; y por el fortalecimiento de los servicios públicos de salud y de los servicios sanitarios con una financiación pública sustancial para la capacidad humana y la infraestructura necesarias. ¡Creemos que otro mundo es posible!
